Related Group Achieves Record-Breaking Concrete Pour at Baccarat Residences, the Largest in Its 45-Year History

Related Group and GTIS Partners reached a significant milestone in constructing the highly anticipated Baccarat Residences Miami. The monumental foundation pour, involving over 10,000 cubic yards of concrete and 1,500 tons of reinforcing steel, set new records for both firms. This groundbreaking event marks the beginning of the only stand-alone residential tower of the iconic French crystal brand, managed by the renowned hospitality group SH Hotels & Resorts. The luxury tower has already achieved over 95% pre-sales, ahead of its expected completion in 2028.
The historic concrete pour, executed by Ceco Concrete Construction, spanned 30 hours, beginning at 8 PM on Friday and concluding at 2 AM on Sunday. The operation was meticulously overseen by the general contractor John Moriarty & Associates of Florida (JMA), with support from Florida Concrete Unlimited, Titan America, Gancedo Lumber, B&J Consulting Engineers, and NV5.
“This was a rare and extraordinary event,” said Nicholas Perez, President of Related’s Condominium Division. “The scale and complexity of this foundation pour were remarkable, and we deeply appreciate the dedication and coordination demonstrated by JMA, our subcontractors, and engineers.”
Situated on one of the last waterfront parcels along Brickell Avenue, where the Miami River meets Biscayne Bay, the 75-story tower is crafted by some of the world’s leading design talents. The architecture is by the internationally acclaimed firm Arquitectónica, the interiors by New York-based Meyer Davis Studio, and the landscape design by Swiss architect Enzo Enea.
As the sister property to the record-breaking Baccarat Hotel & Residences in New York City, the Brickell Tower will feature 355 residences, including eight exclusive penthouses. The property, which has experienced exceptional sales success, is now 95% sold, with a selection of premium residences still available.
