Brickell’s Gateway: Proposed 29-Story Tower to House Hundreds of Micro-Units
August 4, 2023A 29-story residential tower is being planned at the entrance of Brickell, and the project has recently undergone redesigning. Initially proposed as a meticulously designed 24-story project, the new plans have been filed with the county for review.
The property is now included in Miami-Dade’s Rapid Transit System Development Zone, subjecting it to county oversight instead of city jurisdiction. A pre-application for the revised tower was filed with Miami-Dade planners on July 31.
The proposed tower will feature 514 dwelling units, with 222 micro-units and an additional 51 efficiency units. Additionally, the development will have 37,479 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor and second level, 600 car parking spaces spread over six parking levels, and a painted metal system designed in an intricate pattern.
The tower’s height is planned to reach 309 feet and will be designed by architect Beilinson Gomez. Rockville Hospitality LLC is the developer behind the project.
As the project progresses through the approval process, it is likely to contribute to the ever-evolving skyline of Brickell, catering to the demand for housing options in the vibrant urban area.
