Banco Santander Unveils Plans for State-of-the-Art Santander Tower on Brickell Avenue
February 23, 2024Banco Santander has unveiled ambitious plans to develop a cutting-edge office tower on their expansive two-acre property at 1401 Brickell Avenue. The proposed Santander Tower, standing tall at 765 feet and spanning 40 stories, marks a significant milestone following the submission of applications for a total demolition permit for the existing 14-story office building erected in 1973.
The vision for Santander Tower is nothing short of groundbreaking, with a solid commitment to sustainability evident in its design, targeting LEED Platinum certification. Boasting 612,918 square feet of Class A office space, the tower will also accommodate 107,953 square feet of Food & Beverage (F&B) space, including a variety of ground and lower-floor restaurants, alongside a multi-level urban club situated on the 9th-floor podium. Additionally, the development will provide ample parking with 1,496 spaces.
With a keen focus on enhancing the urban landscape, Santander Tower plans to activate pedestrian and street levels by incorporating public plazas and meticulously crafted landscaping along Brickell Avenue. This approach adds to the aesthetic appeal and fosters a vibrant and inviting atmosphere for both tenants and visitors alike.
The tower’s design is spearheaded by Handel Architects, renowned for their innovative and forward-thinking approach to architecture. Bernardi + Peschard Arquitectos is collaborating on the interiors, bringing their expertise in creating dynamic and functional spaces. The landscape design, crucial for integrating nature seamlessly into the urban environment, is entrusted to Rios and LandDesign.
Overseeing the development process with precision and dedication is the esteemed Rilea Group, ensuring that the Santander Tower project unfolds seamlessly from conception to completion.
Banco Santander’s ambitious venture promises to redefine the skyline of Brickell Avenue, setting new standards for sustainability, innovation, and urban connectivity in the heart of Miami’s vibrant business district.
